Ricondo is seeking an IT Specialist to join Ricondo’s team of talented IT professionals in our Chicago office. Ricondo is a full-service aviation consulting firm that provides strategic planning services to airports across the United States and globally, including operational and physical planning, master planning, environmental review, and business advisory services.

Overview

The IT Specialist will be part of a four-person team supporting approximately 190 employees across multiple offices. This role is central to the daily operation of the firm's technology infrastructure, serving as a primary point of contact for technical issues while contributing to the security, reliability, and efficiency of the firm's technical environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • A member of the helpdesk, you participate in addressing end-user issues.
  • Ability to onboard, offboard, and maintain users and devices.  All duties related to both user and machine management using Intune, Entra, Autopilot, and other tools in support of life-cycle management.
  • Server and virtualization administration, configuring and troubleshooting both on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Participating in the review of vulnerability assessments and third-party reporting on vulnerabilities in our environment.  Working on remediation plans as required.
  • Troubleshooting basic networking issues including ticketing with internet providers.
  • Scripting with tools such as Powershell and other tools to increase the automation of monitoring, deployment and reporting.
  • Assist with troubleshooting end-user tools and software. Support of installation, licensing and connectivity to resources.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or equivalent certifications.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience providing IT support and administration in a small to medium sized business.
  • Demonstrated breadth of knowledge across endpoint support, identity management, virtualization, and networking.
  • Ability to support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and Office.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with Cloud governance.
  • Experience scripting in Powershell or similar tools to automate administrative tasks or troubleshoot.
  • Experience with Backup software supporting a hybrid environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based file systems, like Egnyte.
  • Relevant industry certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA Network+, Cisco/Meraki or equivalents).

The base pay range for this role is $60,000 to $80,000. The base salary range/hourly rate established for a job offer is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills.
