Ricondo is seeking a Marketing Specialist who will be based in our Chicago, IL or Alexandria, VA office. Ricondo is a full-service aviation consultancy firm. We provide planning services to airport owners and operators, airlines, and federal and state aviation-related agencies. Our firm provides strategic planning services to airports across the United States and around the world, including operational and physical planning, master planning, environmental reviews, and business advisory services.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive team player to support the firm’s marketing efforts. This role is responsible for preparing high-quality statements of qualifications and proposals, while ensuring all submissions are compliant, accurate, and delivered on time.

The ideal candidate thrives in a collaborative environment, effectively prioritizing work with team members while also demonstrating the ability to work independently under tight deadlines. Success in this role requires strong multitasking skills, flexibility to reprioritize work as needed, the ability to develop and manage schedules, and the capacity to produce polished deliverables while overseeing multiple deadline-driven projects simultaneously. Occasional extended hours may be required to meet critical deadlines.

Core Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, production, and closeout of client qualifications, proposals, and presentations, ensuring high-quality, creative, and on-time deliverables.
  • Develop and manage pursuit schedules, assign responsibilities, and coordinate contributions from cross-functional team members.
  • Craft compelling narratives that highlight clients, projects, and team expertise, integrating differentiators into deliverables that address unique client needs.
  • Align marketing collateral, external communications, and client deliverables with brand standards and guidelines.
  • Direct the preparation, messaging, and execution of client interviews. Lead rehearsals, manage logistics, and coach presenters.
  • Collaborate with pursuit teams to develop strategic responses to anticipated client questions.
  • Contribute to or lead the organization and maintenance of marketing assets and knowledge management systems.
  • Conduct client and market research, analyze findings, and clearly communicate insights.
  • Share best practices and provide guidance and mentorship to team members.
  • Collaborate with marketing colleagues on special projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Demonstrate exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships across the Ricondo operational network.
  • Collaborate effectively across functional teams, promoting a cohesive, systems-driven approach to problem-solving.
  • Apply project management principles to plan, execute, and deliver work efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a strong knowledge base of the aviation industry, including Ricondo’s portfolio, practice areas, and service capabilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree with focus on marketing, English, journalism, communications, or related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted; an additional four years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 3-6 years of experience in A/E/C or professional services proposals and marketing.
  • Fluency in Adobe InDesign and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Additional Preferred Skills
  • Customer Relationship Management experience (Salesforce, Deltek, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)
  • CPSM or APMP certification

The base pay range for this role is $65,000 to $75,000. The base salary range/hourly rate established for a job offer is dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors, such as experience, education, and skills.
