Managing Consultant

Ricondo is a full-service aviation consulting firm that has a team of more than 150 employees worldwide. Our technical consulting and project management services encompass airport facilities planning, airport master planning, environmental planning, feasibility studies, transaction support, airfield and airspace analyses, and airport development programs, either on a project basis or as part of on-call consulting services.

As we continue to expand our global portfolio and deliver exceptional client services, we are seeking a Managing Consultant with a blend of technical and business expertise to become part of our successful organization.  Joining our elite team of aviation consultants provides opportunities for individuals to assist the largest and fastest-growing airports.


The Managing Consultant will be responsible for providing leadership and analytical support in forecasting (airport-wide and route-specific), air service analysis/strategy, and other related ad-hoc projects across a breadth of airport clients. Support for other technical service areas (finance, landside planning, etc.) will also be expected. This position will be responsible for training and mentoring of staff.


  • Air Service Analysis
  • Assist airport clients with the identification and analysis of air service risks and opportunities including:
  • New route identification
  • At-risk existing routes
  • Identification of industry trends that may affect air service
  • Leakage to competing airports

Airport Activity Forecasting

  • Provide thought leadership on the logic and construct of forecast efforts
  • Develop forecasts used for planning and bond feasibility study purposes
  • Conduct meetings with stakeholders (airport client, airlines, community leaders, etc.) to solicit forecast inputs and present results
  • Summarize and present forecast results in various forms suitable to need (forecast chapter in master plan or bond feasibility study, ratings agency presentation, face-to-face meeting with clients or stakeholders)

Management of staff and work product

  • Train and develop staff
  • Conduct/participate in staff reviews
  • Ensure quality of client deliverables
  • Prioritize work streams and tasks
  • Coordinate and manage use of staff resources


  • Experience in airline network planning (preferably 5-10 years) is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree and preferably a Master's degree in a field that provides a strong foundation for aviation consulting, such as finance, accounting, business/quantitative analytics, economics, statistics, business administration or aviation management, and mathematics.  
  • Must have experience and solid familiarity with airline/airport/industry performance metrics, and preferably familiarity with Diio and/or Sabre databases.
